I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at VidMob
Interview
Met with two people from the team. Young company with a cool technology, I could tell they were still scrappy and very much still figuring things out. The first person I spoke with was super lovely, the second not so much. They spent more time focusing on why I was leaving my current job than on actual competencies of the role itself.
Thank you for taking the time to interview with us and writing about your experience. Best of luck in your search.
Application
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at VidMob in Oct 2021
Interview
I went through all four interview rounds along with the project manager assignment. After my last interview, I was told I would hear the final decision the next week. I still have heard nothing even after sending multiple emails which is frustrating. Everyone at Vidmob I talked to was very nice, welcoming, and loved the company but being left in the dark makes me rethink about applying again in the future. It was a huge waste of time.

Interview
Interview process started out great. I was contacted 3 days after submitting my resume to havr a call with HR. That call lasted 45 minutes and I had a great feeling from it. He even said he thought I might qualify for a Project Manager position instead of Jr.
The next step was to complete a takehome assignment, which was sent the next day and I was told I had 48 hours to return it. Unfortunately the file I was sent wouldn't load correctly (something I see has happened to others before, based on Glassdoor reviews), and I asked the recruiter for help. It took 12 days of back and forth trying to get that file before the recruiter just asked me if I could do the best I could with a limited file (including a weeklong period where I heard nothing from him). Very unprofessional as I had to submit something that felt so incomplete.
The hiring manager confirmed receipt of the assignment, but 3-4 days later I got a generic rejection. When I asked them for feedback because of the slow communication and delay, they said they had actually decided on candidates to move forward before receiving my application! So disappointing when I felt so qualified and excited for the role. What a waste of my time, and this could easily have been communicated with me.
