Verus Mortgage Capital interview questions

I met with a pleasant lady during the first round and thought things were going well - until she mentioned that the hiring managers were looking for something that was NOT mentioned in the job description at all. Had they mentioned that they were looking for an underwriter with this type of background also, and that this was something that “they really wanted,” I would have never applied. Nowhere was it mentioned in the job description, and it only came up during the interview. I felt blindsided and I pretty much knew I would not be moving on to round two of interviews. Total bait and switch!
