Complete waste of time, was strung along for months. I had 7(!) interviews with VR, or people working with VR. After each one, they told me that they were interested, but they only needed to find "right position for me." First, started off with a standard phone screen. Then went to a technical interview where my interviewer kept his camera off the entire time. Then a final call with the CEO, who thought I was joking when asking about equity compensation. All in the space of a week- then radio silence for 3 months. Then suddenly a reach out from the recruiter who said they had an open position. Next series of 3 interviews were a combination of prep interviews with the VR team and interviews with outside partners. They prepped me for exactly the wrong material, and then I sat through an hour of being embarrassed and being asked questions about information I never knew, and TOLD VR that I didn't know or have any experience with. Then a last-minute cancelled meeting (while I was in said meeting, and noone from VR bothered even showing up!) Then complete radio silence for another few months, with the same line, "we just need to find an opening for you." I felt disrespected at the beginning, the middle, and the end of this process. Zero transparency at any step of the way. I regret spending any time at all interviewing for this position, and any software engineer should steer far, far clear of this company if you're looking for a new gig.
