I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Entire process felt disjointed. I was regularly asking for updates, and communication was spotty. When scheduling meetings/interviews, changes were often necessary (meeting set with person x at time y would be changed to person a at time c regularly). Most discussion was around culture, with only a little on experience and qualifications.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Vague and indirect networking questions. they look for ONE answer, yet ask the question in such a vague way that you have to give 20 answers to get there
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada
Interview
The process from first interview to offer took about a month and a half. They did communicate with me at all times even though there were some delays. Overall the interviews in my opinion were fun and a good challenge. They did also pay for accommodations for the in person interview which was out of town for me.
I applied online. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Aced and progressed through 6+ rounds, Additional VP Round at the final onsite. All to be told I didn’t have enough experience for the position. What a joke of a company.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada (Salt Lake City, UT) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process was lengthy, but felt structured and gave me the opportunity to get a feel for the company. It balanced both personality, technical skills, and presentation knowledge equally while also giving you the opportunity to ask questions.
