I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2010
Interview
An initial phone screen interview with contract recruiter led to initial phone screen interview with Verizon Wireless hiring manager which led to initial face-to-face interview with same hiring manager. This led to two additional face-to-face interviews with the hiring manager and two different area sales directors. This led to another phone interview with the area Sales Engineering Manager, and then another phone interview with another area sales director. Finally, I was scheduled to interview with the western region sales director; however, this interview did not end up happening.
The Verizon Wireless people I met with were focused and dedicated, and the culture seemed challenging and somewhat intense. The office in San Jose could use a little updating.

Interview
Initial Interview was professional. Interviewer was candid about the roles day to day. It seemed lots of people were unaware of how much field time may have been in the job prior to applying.
A very long and tedious interview process that could be improved. Reducing the interviews to no more than 3 would benefit all parties involved. In addition, the discussions should be no longer than 30 - 45 minutes in length.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had a disgruntled customer, and how did you resolve it?
a little lengthy and follow up could be better. Would rather be told no then left up in the air as to why you weren't chosen. However if you are chosen they move rather quickly
