I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Cary, NC) in Jun 2017
Interview
The interview was not fairly assessed, the hiring manager already had made a judgement prior to the interview. It was just a formality. I didn't hear back from the manager and had to follow up with her. She had feedback for me but nothing tangible I could use.

Question 1
They asked to see previous power point decks that I had created.
Had to go through three interviews and two personality tests before being hired. During the last interview, there were 4 members of the company's leadership team present, and I was asked to participate in several mock experiences. Quite rigorous, but I got the job. This way over a decade ago so not sure if hiring process is the same now that XO was acquired by Verizon.

Question 1
What is a decision you've had to make that went against what others wanted? When was a time you stepped up when no one else would?

Interview
WORST EVER. Phone interview (enthusiastic and complimentary) followed by in-person interview - The last thing the interviewer said was that he would make a final decision the next day. Then they "ghosted" me. After an in person interview, this gives me a TERRIBLE view of the company, and how they treat people. It's just never okay to not follow up after an in-person interview. Even after I followed up, they didn't respond - although clearly I didn't get the job. They truly don't get it. Weren't they looking for a job when they got this one? The candidate puts him/herself out there in a vulnerable state, dresses the part, arranges their schedule around the interview, studies and prepares for the conversation all to be ignored. Just terrible treatment. I'll never consider this company again - NEVER.
