I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Veracyte

I first went through a round of phone screenings with an HR rep and the hiring manager. A few weeks later i was flown in and I gave a talk on my research followed by several 1:1 interviews across the organization.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Veracyte
Interview
Friendly HR, however phone interview was 15 minutes late and technical test was delivered almost an hour late with only one day notice of the exact date and time. Unfortunately, I was given no updates on the status until a follow up email was sent.
I applied online. I interviewed at Veracyte (South San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2013
Interview
Phone screening by the VP of bioinformatics and went on-site a week or two after. On-site interview included a scientific presentation, a lunch with R&D team (very friendly and casual, then followed by a few one-on-one interviews with fellow R&D scientists, two R&D directors, data analysis team members, VP of bioinformatics, and finally HR manager. Another interview was held separately with CSO (due to the schedule conflict. normally this interview is scheduled on the same day)
