I interviewed for the position of Plant Chemist at Veolia. I interviewed 1:1 with a manager at the plant, and the interview lasted around 20 minutes. The manager I found to be rude and unprofessional throughout the process. The style of questioning leaned further towards 'catch you out' style questioning over skills evaluation, and the interviewer interrupted my answers frequently to critique and argue with me. The manager appeared to become quite aggravated from my responses and spent time speaking at length about how unenjoyable the role can be. This manager's unprofessionalism culminated in the raising of his voice and swearing during a question I asked over extended working hours and overtime. The rest of the team which I met appeared kind and welcoming to me, however, I left feeling bullied and shocked.
