Interview
Though it varies from post and level of experience you are carrying.
For freshers we either ask candidate to submit any 4-5 problems from Archived Problems - Project Euler or if they come during a walk in we ask them to first write program/ pseudocode for some of these problems or any other solvable programs.
If one is good in this basic code/programming screening it will be followed by technical interview where we will check candidate's basic attitude toward learning new technologies, basic in c/c++ , OOPS concept and practical application.

Machine test contains the basic programs which are not so difficult level they are easy

Write asp .net program that will validate a user who are either admin or normal user with use of database.
Normal user can see his details after logging in.
Admin user can see all users details as well as add normal users with password.
