I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Utah Department of Workforce Services (Salt Lake City, UT)
Interview
After applying online I was contacted to do an assessment. The Work Keys assessment. I went to an office in SLC and took the assessment. After passing the assessment I was scheduled for an interview.
When I arrived they gave me a paper with questions they would ask on it. They gave me 15 minutes to come up with my answers then took me back to a room where there were 4 people on a panel. They pointed to the clock and said "We have 20 minutes for this interview. You have the questions and you are in charge of the time." They then took turns asking me the questions that were on the paper.

Interview
A group of people that are supposed to be managers but do not fit the profile take turns asking you questions. I honestly feel like they hire anyone that applies because they are desperate. The posting is continuous so it's obvious that there is a high turn around.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Utah Department of Workforce Services (Ogden, UT)
Interview
Panel interview with 3 interviewers. Be prepared. Know what you are talking about! Have specific examples.
One thing they do is give you the questions when you arrive with 15 minutes to write out specific examples and experience to answer the questions. You get to keep the page with the questions and your answers when you go into the interview. They want quality and descriptive, specific answers, not flying by the seat of your pants answers.
For a while they would also give a math and reading test, but I'm not so sure they still do that.
It took quite a while to hear back and to start the job, so don't give up if you haven't heard back after a week or so.

They asked a very lengthy multiple part question in Spanish about what I knew of their services, mission, people they serve, etc.
