      Assistant Spatial Analyst Interview

      12 Nov 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Urbis in Oct 2025

      Interview

I applied for this position twice. The JD did not list a salary, but in the application form asks your salary expectation. The first time, I was automatically rejected because it seems I put in a salary expectation that was too high. The second time, I submitted exactly the same application but declined to say my salary expectation, which got me a phone screening. In the phone call, I was asked why I had not filled out that form field, and I said that I felt like it would disadvantage me in the selection process. I was told that the salary expectation is not part of the selection criteria even though it obviously is. They are looking for someone who will work for maximum $65K including super. I passed the phone screening and was asked to do an assessment task, which took a few hours but I submitted it. They said they would get back to me with the results the next week. A week after the day they said they'd get back to me I had still heard nothing, so I asked for a follow up. A full 5 weeks after the phone interview they finally gave me a rejection, and gave me hallucinated feedback for an in-person interview that never took place. HR is extremely inept and I feel cheated of my time. I will not apply to this company again.
