We do follow up on the day of the interview. This seems to have been a miss from our side in the event of your interview. Sorry about that.
About solving 'our' problems during the interview, we are always looking to hire people smarter than us. So if there is something we struggle with, we do want to see if we can learn something from the candidate. Every interviewer should ideally walk out with good vibes about the candidate's culture fit and after learning something in an interview. That is the goal for us. Clearly, there has been a misrepresentation of that goal. Apologize for that.
