It was fair and pleasant first with the initial screen, then with the hiring manager. Both interviewees knew what they were looking for, although it appears that after the interview with the hiring manager, ready to move their final candidates to the final two stage, things kind of changed. its as if after speaking to all their 9-10 candidates, they shifted on needs.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad to hear that you found both your initial conversation and your interview with the hiring manager to be fair, pleasant, and well organized.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the evolution of the role during the interview process. As we progressed through conversations with candidates, our hiring team continued to evaluate the organization's needs and the specific experiences that would best position the role for long-term success. While our understanding of the position became more refined throughout the process, we recognize that changes in direction can sometimes be frustrating for candidates.
We sincerely appreciate the time and interest you invested in Upstream and wish you all the best in your career. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback.
Had 3 rounds of interviews. Phone screening, Call with the manager and then one of the members of the team during which I did a mock presentation for a "practice". It was pretty straightforward. Took about a month and a half in total due to a company retreat and conference that was happening for them around that same time.
Got invited to a phone screen, and nearly 2 months later, never heard back despite them telling me my application is still active. Would have been excited to work here and continue the hiring process, but they took too long so I accepted a position elsewhere.
