I applied via their online portal and got a phone interview with two members of the team. The interview was pretty straight-forward - very job specific and less personality oriented. They were specifically looking for someone with a lot of experience in events and list management, which was not my niche.

Question 1
Nothing was entirely difficult or unexpected. They simply asked detailed questions about common questions. i.e. In regards to list management: what programs have you used, are you familiar with the backend, etc.
I applied online. I interviewed at United Way (Maryville, TN) in May 2024
Interview
Slow interview process. I applied in March, got a first interview in April, had my second interview in May, and it took them two weeks to tell me I wasn't getting the job, even after following up. I don't think I was given a fair chance because they decided to combine two roles into one after I already had my interview. I appreciate that they gave me feedback and agreed to send back my portfolio I left with them after asking for it though.

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at United Way (San Diego, CA) in Nov 2016
Interview
My interview was in one of their conference rooms with the Marketing Director and Human Resources recruiter for about 30-40 minutes to discuss my qualifications. They primarily asked the type of marketing strategies I would use to promote United Way's message, as well my experience with creating new strategies.
