I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at United Rentals (Auburn, AL) in Nov 2013
Interview
I first learned of the position from a career fair at my college. I was asked to come in for an initial interview with the branch manager and then a follow up interview with a regional sales director. I personally found the initial interview had more challenging questions. I felt confident about both interviews but another candidate who had more experience was chosen.

Several questions relating to how you handle conflict and getting along with coworkers.
I interviewed at United Rentals (South Holland, IL)
Interview
The first step 30 minute introduction by phone. At least for me, this was not scheduled but rather a call I received a few days after submitting the application. After the call, I was invited to an in person interview with the Site manager for the fluids division
I went in person to give my resume. The interview was simple and short. It was one interview. Nothing too crazy. There was a phone interview but I skipped that and went straight in person.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here or something like that
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Rentals in Jun 2025
Interview
Panel type interview with 3 people. Too many questions and it lasted an hour with each person taking turns. Just a little bit of conversation style talk. Once it was over, all that was said was that's all we have right now. No thank yous, no mention of next steps, no anything.
