I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at UltraSite in Jan 2021
Interview
The start of the interview was poor without any information other than the address. The address was the shipping address for the factory. No information about which building to go to or who to ask for, so I just asked an employee who was on break for which building was HR and was directed to the correct building. It was an all day interview with no breaks/lunch, 8am till after 4pm. The interview involved 8 people, 5 of which would be direct reports. Depending on who you were interviewing with at the time, the interviewers could be anywhere from interested, distracted, or hostile to the point of considering walking out, but I continued out of courtesy. One interviewer was clearly upset over being passed up for the job.
The job was originally portrayed as to develop less experienced managers to be able to promote to higher level positions and implement a corporate driven lean transformation per the recruiter over the course of a couple years. When I was interviewing, it was clear that after the first few interviewers that they were looking for a turnaround artist to improve their business not a coach. The setup for the interview was also awkward, with the interviewers spaced about 15 feet apart opposite of you or one person in person and one person remote at a 45 degree angle to you. It was the worst interview process I have ever experienced and there was no way possible that I was going to work for this company . A truly awful process.
