      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uline (Pleasant Prairie, WI) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Applied online and they contacted me the next day for an interview. When I got there I was given two wonderlic tests and then a one on one interview. Questions were pretty standard and it only took about 15-20 minutes. I got the impression that the only reason they call nearly everyone to come in for an interview is to get them to take the wonderlic tests which seem to be extremely important in the process.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uline (Pleasant Pr, WI) in May 2015

      Interview

After taking an assessment, filling out another questionnaire, and submitting a writing sample, I was told that they wanted to interview me. Show up to the interview and have to take two 4 minute timed tests (wonderlic) that involve finding a pattern in numbers and the other has a long list of paired numbers and you have to put a check mark next to the ones that are identical. Finally after this the interview started. The lady read the most common interview questions right off the page and wasn't looking for anything more than that. Didn't even mention the position until I asked about it and even then didn't even talk about it, she side tracked to the department and this lead in to her talking about the company as a whole. She even said she really had nothing to do with the selection process and most of it is weighted from the assessments and test you take (all occur before you even sit down with someone).

      Interview

Never before have I had such an odd experience! While the personality and writing tests are strange to begin with, the numbers tests that were taken prior to the interview where beyond strange! Not sure what they will gain in terms of my marketing qualifications from that! Apparently I must have failed the personality tests since the interviewers couldn't be less interested in what I had to say. I think I clearly had too much personality for this place. I asked the interviewer more questions than he asked me and just about every answer was "Good idea but our XXX doesn't like that" or " XXX doesn't want to do that". The entire experience was a waste of time as I was clearly not fitting their robot mold! I found out through a very impersonal email that I did not get the job about 10 days after the interview. The least they could do is personalize it after candidates take the time to come in. But since they appear to interview by the truckload, they probably do not have the time.

      Question 1

Most unexpected question was regarding the dress code- How did I feel about their antiquated formal dress code policy? If a woman wears a suit- the jacket and pants must match, the shirt must be tucked in and the jacket buttoned! And the bonus is if you wear a dress, you don't have to wear panty hose from May - September. I think the military may be less strict!
