      Marketing Analyst Interview

      20 Sept 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Pleasant Prairie, WI
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Uline (Pleasant Prairie, WI) in Sept 2011

      Interview

There is no phone interview. Once you apply if they like what they see they will call you to confirm an appointment for an interview. At this point it really means nothing, be prepared then for a stack (yes a stack) of paperwork to fill out and a very third world process. Paperwork required previous to your interview: 1) An employment application which asks every bit of information you could imagine about anyone you previously worked for. 2) A consent form for a drug test SHOULD YOU PASS the interview portion first. You do not have to take a drug test at, during, or after this first or initial interview. 3) A corporate form from another company where they will complete a full background check. Now I doubt they do the check unless you are seriously considered but it asks about all or any convictions you may have had and any of your past addresses that you have or currently reside at. 4) Some pre-inquiry information release form (for a credit check or something). 5) A standard map for getting to the location and where to park. Testing: 1) You have to take a "jung" personality test online and copy and paste the results into a word document, rename it, and email it back. 2) You have to take a sales success profile, which is another test that you can do at your leisure, but then you must email your results in an excel file back to the company. 3) Writing style test. You receive a paragraph about the company and you have to sum it into some main points. You are provided with an example on how to do this. When complete, save your results in word and email back. 4) Now you have to do some "DiSC" profile online. Its more or less another personality test. Again, email the company when you have completed this. When you arrive: First, make sure that you are dressed in the MOST appropriate attire you have. Shirt tucked in, ties are required for men, skirts must be knee length or longer and tights must be worn. No open toed shoes either. Its a very strict environment there and they will judge you based upon your clothing. ----- Interview Day ------- Before you even get to interview a different HR lady will be there to give you TWO 4 minute tests. One is a number sequencing test. Example: 1234 -- 1243 Are these sets of numbers the same? Yes or No? The answer here is no. There are 200 sets of numbers ranging from 3 - 6 digits. Answer as many of them correctly as possible within the 4minutes. The two sets of numbers must be exactly the same. Test 2 on Interview Day, another 4 minute test. This one has only 30 questions but is a different format of sequencing or number pattern testing. 11 22 33 44 __ What will the next two numbers be? Obviously 55. Believe me this is not as easy as it seems. When you have completed both tests you then will sit with an HR Rep and do a 1 on 1 interview. They are very particular so watch your manners and know why you want to work for the company. But if you are already aware on this site, do not ask about their management style because they lady got defensive on me and said that its not MicroManaging there....which I told her I saw on this site. You hear back within 2 business days AFTER the interview. Good luck.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uline (Racine, WI)

      Interview

Never even felt like I had a chance. The lady who interviewed me seemed incredibly uninterested in what I had to say and at the very beginning asked if there were any other jobs I was interested in. This made me feel like I wasnt even being considered for the role I was interviewing for.

      7 Feb 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Uline (New York, NY) in Jun 2020

      Interview

I applied on linked in. A couple days later I was contacted by a recruiter to schedule a 10 minute screening interview. I think I was just asked why I was interested in the job. She told me she would reccomend me for an interview and I would hear something no matter what in a week. I was not contacted for a month. I then had to take 4 different tests. As I lived in Michigan at the time and the job was in Wisconsin I had a half hour zoom interview. This was another screening interview with a recruiter. They told me a little about the job and asked about why I wanted to work at uline. Again I was told I'd hear within 2 weeks if I made it to the next round. Yet again another month went by. Finally I was invited for a all day in person interview a month later. I drove through 3 states during a pandemic for this interview. This in person interview was with 3 people each one a separate half hour interview. I also had to take 2 more tests. 2 out of the 3 managers had told me they liked me and I was either going to work in a different department or there's. They just needed the owner to sign off. I was told once again I would hear back in 2 weeks. After waiting a month and following up with the first recruiter I talked via email I got a stereotypical HR email letting me know I did not get the position.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

what experience do you have from your college courses that would be relevant in this job?
      Answer question

      Question 2

interviewer actually asked me if I had seen the reviews on glassdoor and if I had read anything that made me nervous about working at uline

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uline (Pleasant Prairie, WI) in Dec 2013

      Interview

Went through several hoops, including an extensive phone screening and personality testing - In the end, I did not get a call back for an onsite interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

You will have to take several tests prior to an onsite interview. These tests are made to be confusing with vague questions and subjective answers. For example, are you ambitious or determined? (How can this question have a "right" answer?)
