It was no interview process. They check your background, credit, employment and education history. You go to MEPS, once approved you are sworn in and shipped off to bootcamp.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at US Navy (Malden, MA) in May 2013

medical and background history. check if you are a good fit for the navy. you have to show up once a month while you wait. then you ship off and attend boot camp. it is not very hard.
