Three interviews, two by phone one in person. First interview by phone with recruiter was basic information about position and basic information about my qualifications. Interviewer was knowledgeable in accounting, conversation felt productive. Second interview by phone with Controller. More in depth conversation on accounting knowledge and work history. Interviewer asked questions directly related to tasks desired by dept., and work history. Third interview was an in person panel. The third interview seemed to have little direction. When asked, panel members didn't know how the role I was applying for would interact with other departments or teams, including the teams they managed. Left feeling like either the company didn't know what they were looking for exactly, or that the interview process was more an exercise than an actual attempt to find a candidate.
