I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Army (Wiesbaden) in Mar 2012
Interview
Recruiter gave appointment after asking many questions and answering some of the ones I had. It was a very easy process. The only thing needed to be done before signing was to take the ASVAB test and have a health assessment screening.
Not hard at all. The process of joining is fairly easy. Pass your advance or try to get a higher job and look for a job that is transferable to civilian workforce.
