I was initially informed that I would proceed to a user interview and was asked to wait for the interview details. After not receiving an update, I followed up with the Talent Acquisition team. Several days later, I was informed that there had been a mismatch in the information previously shared and that my application would not be moving forward.
I understand that companies may need to make difficult hiring decisions, and I respect the outcome. However, the communication process was disappointing. Candidates invest time and effort in preparing for each stage, especially after being told that they will move forward.
I hope the hiring team can improve the accuracy and clarity of communication with candidates in the future. A transparent and timely update would create a much better candidate experience, even when the final decision is not positive.
