I applied online. I interviewed at UNICEF (New York, NY) in Dec 2020
Interview
The interview takes about 30 minutes and though Zoom. There will be 3 people asking the questions. Mainly, they are trying to see if you are the best candidate to do the job. The result is quite fast, after several days from the interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at UNICEF (Nairobi) in Apr 2026
Interview
Email about being invited to the first assessment came 3 weeks after my application. After a few days, I received an email for the panel interview. The interview was alright: 4 panellists, a 45-minute interview and 4 questions around professional experience and the lessons picked. They chose someone else for the position; the rejection email came 3 weeks after the interview. Everyone was so nice during the process

Question 1
The assessment was very practical.
The panel interview had 4 questions mostly about previous experiences, not the frequently asked questions that people expect from interviews.
I received an email for interview following application. It was a straight forward process and clear in the system what the steps were. Friendly and efficient. I need to keep adding words.
3 rounds of interview, first two task based last one personality based, they changed their mind about the modalities of work midway through the hiring process so a bit frustrating but it’s also related to the number of applicants that allows them to be picky
