      I interviewed at UMass Memorial Health

      On February 19, 2026, I was contacted to schedule an interview and, after reviewing the interviewer’s calendar, selected the earliest available date of April 9, 2026. Despite committing to that timeline, I received an email on February 26, 2026—more than six weeks in advance of the interview—stating that the company had decided to move forward with other candidates. This handling of the process was not only misleading but demonstrated a striking lack of professionalism, organization, and respect for a candidate’s time. Initiating interview scheduling without genuine intent to follow through suggests poor internal alignment and careless candidate management. Such practices impose unnecessary inconvenience and create a negative impression of the organization’s operational standards. While frustrating, this experience ultimately served as a revealing indicator of the company’s communication practices and overall professionalism, raising serious concerns about how both candidates and employees may be treated.
