I applied online. I interviewed at UC San Diego in Feb 2023
Interview
I was invited to interview for a CRC position at UCSD, but unfortunately, the interview was cancelled by the employer the day before the scheduled date. While I understand that they may have found better candidates, I do not believe that cancelling an interview at such short notice is a professional way to handle the situation. They should have evaluated all applicants thoroughly before reaching out and inviting me to a interview.
Difficult interview
Application
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UC San Diego in Jan 2017
Interview
The process involved a phone interview followed by an in-person interview. I applied in December 2016 for two departments and both got back to me within 3 weeks. I was interviewed by both departments. For the in-person interviews, one was with the PI and CRC and the other interview was with a panel of 6 CRC's. The phone interviews were very relaxed and they just wanted to learn about me and my goals.
One department required me to prepare two practice IRB letters before the interview.

Question 1
If the informed consent paperwork is lengthy, however other doctors require the patient room and you are not finished, would you proceed with the consenting process?
If you are assigned several studies and three patients walk into the clinic at the same time and they are all eligible for different studies (and you do not have time to consent them all/cannot call them later), how would you determine which one you would consent?
The interview was a long process. Much longer than I had anticipated. From submitting my application to the interview took about a month, Then approximately another month until I received the offer letter through HR.
