Very detailed, look on the Senate website and prepare a lot. Do your research on policies for the Senator you are interested in. Also have a strong grasp on government and your responsibilities.

I did one phone interview, but some of my coworkers did two. It was just a call from one of the Desk Staffers. Super chill interview process. Not too difficult. Just know about the office and about the policies that they follow and pass forth.

Interview offer over email, 15-20 minute interview with staff assistant and sometimes hiring manager, they sent over an offer via email. Scheduled phone call to discuss salary. Besides that, all communication happened over email. Don't cold call the office, staff assistants get annoyed
