Very long process that was unneeded. I was formerly a loan broker, who brought in millions of dollars in deals, and passed them off to the most appropriate places for my clients. Either best interest rates, best terms, or just a place that would take the loans. Anyways, even though I knew a lot of people high up in the local area, it was a tough process. I thought everything went well, and made it to the last round, was a bit shocked that there were five other candidates. Especially, knowing I sent them multiple deals, one for $4.5 Million, and had a track record of being able to get many more. Anyways, I think the end interview did not go so well. In any case the 4-6 months it took and all the hoops they made you jump through were insane. The job is very good, benefits great, but a lot of corporate BS if you get it, and very tough to get deals done. Think there is low mobility if you get stuck in the Chicago Market, you can never make it to the real money deals that get done.
