I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tyro Payments (Melbourne) in Feb 2022
Interview
Simple IVs with 3-4 rounds only. Typically behaviour based questions and relationship/culture fit. Overall I felt it was too simple and if you were lucky the interviewer chatted more than they asked questions.

Interview
First HR interview and then directly with the hiring manager. HR screening call is 20-30 minutes. Next round is 1 hour. Questions are mostly around your past experience and your vision of the role.

Interview
It was a bizarre and unprofessional interview experience. First, they required a video submission explaining my interest in the role, which felt odd and potentially discriminatory - why does it matter what I look and sound like, and also it's so time-consuming. The subsequent interview itself was an hour long with a lot of irrelevant questions and constant interruptions. The interviewer lacked product knowledge even though their title suggested otherwise, and the questions they asked seemed irrelevant to the role.
To make matters worse, they never followed up, not even with a rejection email. This complete lack of communication after requiring a video and an hour-long interview is unacceptable.
The whole process raised red flags. The video requirement, the interviewer's behavior, and the lack of follow-up ...
This was by far the strangest and most unprofessional interview I've ever experienced.
