The interview process was fine but a bit spotty. I went through a couple rounds and then heard nothing back. That's to be expected I guess considering they would be classified as a start-up.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the interviewers asked me how I would "comp" a journalist. It was an odd question.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Typhur Technology (San Jose, CA) in Sept 2024
Interview
They like to ONLY interview people when they are understaffed or when someone is about to leave on vacation. 1st round, it was easy but the 2nd round was with the ceo/founder. It's a plus if you are in tech and passion about cooking.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Typhur Technology in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview process lacked structure. The leadership team repeatedly focused on asking how I would solve specific current issues without taking the time to understand my background or assess my fit for the role. They followed up periodically with more questions and ultimately mentioned they wouldn’t be hiring for the position for the next two quarters, only to repost the role shortly after. I agree with other reviews that the interviews felt more like an information-gathering exercise.

Question 1
How would you solve our current X problem and what specific steps you would take to solve it? How can you get us from point A to point B and what will you do and what do you need exactly to get there? Can you draft a plan of what you would focus on for the first 3 to 6 months?
