A recruiter reached out to do the usual pre-flight interview and lay the groundwork for the interview process, which was effectively: the hiring manager, an engineering manager, a panel interview, and a final interview with the SVP of Product. There were some minor red flags at this point. The recruiter would set meeting times without defining a time zone, which was odd for a remote position, and some emails referenced the wrong name of the person I was interviewing with.
There were two case studies provided for the first interview for discussion.
I had a good conversation with the hiring manager, prompt follow-up from the recruiter after the first interview, and scheduled the second interview. After another good conversation, the recruiter followed up promptly again, and then zero communication. I reached out twice to the recruiter over the next two weeks with zero response. It was quite unprofessional to not even get a form rejection letter. I should have reviewed the company on Glassdoor first, as I see being ghosted was not a unique experience.
Ironically, the only communication I received was a few months later asking me to respond to a survey regarding the interview process. Needless to say, I did not respond.
