The process was very disorganized, job was a short term contract (3 months I was told) for Two Sigma Securities in London and it was advertised on and off several times for months. I finally got an initial phone call with HR and then a video call with a member of the Finance team. Although my skills and experience matched perfectly well the job spec and we connected very well during the interviews (at least that is the impression they gave me), my impression was that the interviewer from the Finance Dept. was inexperienced and insecure interviewing. After interview, HR assured me that they would let me know about the outcome but never did only 2 weeks later when I followed up with HR they told me that they had identified someone else which is fine but at least have the decency to honour your word and let me know. HR said that they wanted to keep my CV in file to contact me for future suitable opportunities however, when there was recently another job opportunity which again matched perfectly well my CV, they never did and when I applied for it, I was not even considered despite their "interest" on my CV and "good" words!. Obviously what you see or they say is not what you get or they really mean!
