      Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Interview

      11 Nov 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Twilio (Dublin, Dublin) in Sept 2023

      Interview

An agency recruiter reached out to me about a Recruiter/Sourcer/TA job in the Dublin office. I initially interviewed for the Sourcer role. They moved me along pretty quickly. I got rejected. They mentioned another role might be opening up in a few weeks and they'd consider me for that. That role did, in fact, end up opening up and they reached back out and wanted to put me through the entire interview process again, which I pushed back on a bit. They insisted they wanted to consider me and interview me, so once again, I made more time for Twilio to be interviewed. I thought everything went great, and the recruiter told me I'd hear back "very soon" - well "Very soon" came and went and she told me I'd hear back within a week. A week came and went and she said I should hear back early the next week. Long story short, I never heard back and was ghosted. Ironically, my former boss would have found it highly unacceptable for me, as a recruiter, to not update a candidate and to ghost them. However, that recruiter is employed and I am not. What are the odds? Hope they don't do that to too many candidates, it doesn't reflect well on Twilio. Wouldn't interview there again as it's just a massive waste of time.
