45 minute phone screen with marketing/IT guy, followed by THREE HOUR interview, which included one hour with same marketing guy, another hour with the graphic designer (???), concluding with an hour interview with the company president. I was told they would make a decision within a couple days, maybe during the following week. After a week beyond that with no decision, I emailed a followup inquiry, and was told that they decided to interview a new round of candidates instead of choosing from the first batch.
Yeah, I'm grumpy I didn't get the job, but after four hours of overall screening it's pretty rude to not get any sort of response, making the applicant responsible for follow up. And honestly, my time is valuable too, so having to spend an hour with the graphic designer to see if I'm a good fit was silly. If we're going down that road, why not have everyone in the office spend an hour with me? IMO, the marketing guy and the president were the two folks whose opinions mattered for the job.
