I did a short phone interview confirming details before an in-person interview with a three person panel which lasted an hour. It quickly became apparent to me in the interview that the job advertisement did not match the job description, which was primarily focused on one task. I was shocked to learn that the successful candidate would be asked to take psychometric testing and a follow up interview for this mid-level role. Nearly a month later, I have not heard back from the organisation. It seems rather unprofessional not to notify candidates that they will not be going forward with your application.
