I applied online. I interviewed at Travelers (Chicago, IL)
Interview
The process was very quick and easy. I applied as an internal hire. I received a call from a recruiter the same day but was not able to take the call. We scheduled a phone screen for two days later. The phone screen lasted for about 25 minutes. A few days letter I was asked to interview with the hiring manager and his boss. The interviews were scheduled for the following week, and were back to back 30 minute interviews. Having interviewed with the company for various positions several times, I thought this was rather odd, but was told they wanted to fill the position ASAP. Both managers were very polite and encouraging, but it felt like they were rushing the interview. I did not receive an offer, nor did I expect one. I expect they already had a candidate in mind and were just following HR rules. They ended up hiring someone with considerably more experience.

Question 1
How would you rate your personal composition of analytical and personal skills?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (Melville, NY)
Interview
I had three back-to-back interviews with three different managers in one day. All three managers had a pretty relaxed easy going interview style. All three managers seemed to care very much about training and mentoring which was great to hear.

Question 1
Very heavy on the classic generic interview questions, I.e- “name a time at your previous job where you had a disagreement with a colleague and how did it get resolved?”
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Travelers (Centennial, CO) in Jul 2023
Interview
The first round was a phone interview with a recruiter. It was super brief and they basically just asked me to walk through my resume. The second round was an hour long with two employees over Teams and asked a lot of behavioral questions and scenarios. I like how they treated it more like a conversation rather than drilling me and I was able to ask questions to them throughout the interview.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had to give someone bad news. How did you handle it?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Travelers
Interview
I applied to two different times for the same office. Both times it took almost 2 months for them to get back to me and the recruiter that reaches out to you is not thorough and will definitely ghost you. Both times I had a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager where they asked about my experience and some behavioral questions. Both times I received a rejection at 1 AM in the morning. I thought the interviews went well and because of my experience in underwriting, so I really have no idea what happened. Apply with caution and don’t get hopeful.
