Interview
Applied online. Next day received a call to set up a phone interview. After phone interview, set up to take the skills test.
Interview
First, I spoke with someone from their Talent Management Team. Afterwards, I was scheduled for a 90-minute interview with 2 people from the department. I then advanced to the third and final interview which was an hour long. The first 30 minutes was with a peer, the other 30 minutes with the director. I waited approximately 2 weeks before I was notified that they wanted to extend an offer.

Interview
Interview process went pretty well compared to other employers I’ve interviewed with in the past. Travelers has great communication and speedy turn around time to when they follow up with you. I applied for the position and the next day I was sent an email to take an assessment. A little less then a week of taking the assessment I received an email to schedule an interview with a recruiter. I completed a phone interview with a recruiter which at that time we went over my resume and previous work experience (they are looking for someone that has previous auto claims experience if your applying for a claims position). The recruiter did ask me a few standard interview questions but nothing to intense. After the questions the recruiter advised she would like for me to meet with the claims management team to complete part 2 of the interview process. Later that day I was emailed the date and time of when I would be meeting with the claim management team. I met with 4 managers via zoom to complete part 2 of my interview (I don’t think typically it’s that much managers conducting the interview but I was told 2 of the managers that were on the call were new managers and they were just sitting in for shadowing purposes). This interview was a little more intense then the phone call with the recruiter. I was asked more situational base questions and they were looking for answers that had more detail (STAR format). I was asked maybe about 5-6 scenario questions but still nothing I haven’t experienced in previous interviews. After part 2 of the interview process was completed I received an phone call the next day advising that I moved to the last part of the interview process and scheduled a meeting with the director of the department. This interview was more of a conversation then an interview, the director did ask about 2-3 “interview type” questions but it seemed more like “trying to get to know you” conversation. After that was completed I received a call from the recruiter the next day with an offer.

Interview
Travelers will contact you first regarding a phone interview. The phone interview consists of asking questions regarding previous jobs on your resume and some situational questions regarding customer service. Questions like: How would you deal with a difficult customer? Name a time when you did not agree with managers decision. Name a time you did something without supervision or direction from supervisor. Name something difficult you are currently working on previously worked on. Etc. if the recruiter thinks you did well on the phone interview you will interview with two managers that would be in the office you applied to. Some of the previous mentioned questions were brought up during this interview. If you are able to get through a STAR format interview you should be fine. The next interview would be a peer interview which is a interview with an employee who will tell you more about other roles and what they did in the past to succeed. The last interview is with the VP of Claims and head of HR. This is a shorter interview with more questions regarding experience and some questions regarding difficult systems you have had to learn. It is definitely a long process. If you prepare a lot and continue to remain enthusiastic they will notice that and move you ahead.
