I applied through university. I interviewed at Trane Technologies (Columbus, OH) in Jan 2021
Interview
Very cordial. Felt like they wanted you to get the job. Interview very short but full of content. Loved the interview panel. Trane is a great company filled with great people.
Step 1 - Over the phone
Step 2- Virtual Interview
Step 3-Vitural Interview (meet the Team lead)
Process was quick and straight to the point. It was very relaxed and felt more like a conversation versus an interview.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Trane Technologies (Little Rock, AR) in May 2024
Interview
They use the STAR behavioral interview format. The interview wasn't too difficult, but I honestly despise when employers use this interview format to filter out candidates. It's a huge turn off when you're an experienced candidate. All it does is force people to use canned responses to answer very generic questions. I answered their questions & then flipped the interview on them to get the info I needed to decide whether or not I wanted the position. They were nice people, but ultimately it wasn't a good fit. I didn't bother following up. I haven't heard back from them either.
