I applied through university. I interviewed at Toyon Associates (Costa Mesa, CA)
Interview
The phone interview was pretty standard. They just tell you a bit about the company and then you explain the relating points in your experience. The in-person interview was also pretty standard. There is a one hour interview with 2-3 people in upper management and then a 30 minute interview with 5 other types of employees. Basically, just make sure that you have a good handle on how to explain why your experience fits with data, math, and tedious jobs.
One complaint I have is that the interview process took 6+ weeks. I didn't find out that I was rejected until 3 weeks after my in person interview. Very unprofessional.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Toyon Associates in Dec 2016
Interview
I got energetic and friendly emails so I thought the phone interview would be similar but it was very serious and different from what I expected which greatly threw me off.
