I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Boston, MA) in Sept 2019
Interview
There was an initial phone call screen to discuss the basics of the position. Then, the second call was with the manager who was hiring for the position. After that there would have been an in-person interview with the team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are some projects you've worked on that required cross-functional communication and how did you handle that?
The interviewer completely missed my time and was unreachable. We eventually got to reschedule a week later, but it appeared that they had already selected another candidate in that time.
Pretty difficult. Multiple rounds. Phone screen, call with manager, 2 in person rounds and offer
The managers were knowledgeable. except them, other people seem to be thrown in to ask random senseless questions such as what brings you here, hows your life, what are your weekends etc etc. Of the 5 people I met on one day, 2 were yawning and chilling on their cell phone and one had no idea what he/she was upto. lol

Question 1
Tools known, challenges faced, how are you a good fit, totally 3 case based questions during in person
I am glad that your interview didn't deter you from joining and hope that since you've come aboard your experience has only improved. Since you're an employee now, please come find me to elaborate on your experience so that we can continue to improve our process
