I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TikTok in Aug 2020
Interview
Very disjointed process. Was referred by a current employee for a specific position and then was told by the recruiter to interview for another job.
I made it through several rounds of interviews — one with the recruiter, a handful with people on the team, and a final-round one with four other members over the course of two hours — and was confident that I'd receive an offer (given my interviews and previous relationships with several company executives).
Unfortunately, due to the Trump ban, the recruiter told me in November that they had to put several entry-level position hires on pause until at least 2021. More than three months later, and I have yet to hear any word on if (or when) they're going to be resuming the hiring process.

Question 1
Why TikTok?
Who are your favorite TikTok influencers?
First round of interview involved simple behavioral and resume related questions. There was a written test round after passing the first interview. The written test had case-based short answer and essay questions.

Question 1
What difference do you see in your experience in [your past industry] versus at TikTok? How do you plan on overcoming any foreseeable challenges?
I had only one video call with recruitment, and then moved onto the line manager interview. After that it was just silence and no feedback. The recruitment team didn't really have any benefits to tell me or any clear feedback. The line manager was lovely and had an interesting conversation but was very honest about the chaos of working there. I don't appreciate being chased for times/dates and then silence. Especially after chasing all recruitment teams involved twice.

I applied online. I interviewed at TikTok in May 2022
Interview
It was a Global team so interviews were at night. Interviewers were nice and the process was smooth. HR was very quick to schedule the interviews. There were 4 rounds of interviews including the first round of call with a HR representative
