The interview is great and smooth. They are trying to understand what do you like and how can you fit in best in the company. The HR who arranges the interview are very facilitating. Overall I had a great interview experience.

Question 1
What is the most difficult challenge you faced in your current position?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TikTok (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Phone screen (which was very straightforward - the only red flag was the Chinese recruiter wasn't too familiar with US recruiting guidelines and asked for compensation, which is not allowed in my state), followed by an interview with the hiring manager for 45 minutes - I wanted to end the interview 5 minutes into the conversation. Though the hiring manager had prior experience working for another tech company in the Bay Area, she was not fluent in English ( I couldn't quite understand her at times) and when I asked her questions about TikTok, she had to ask me if I understood Mandarin Chinese - and she proceeded to explain in Mandarin Chinese to me. Shocking to say the least.
