As a senior tech marketer with strong knowledge of the industry, I was very excited to be approached by a Thoughtworks recruiter with an opportunity well-aligned with my background and experience. I prepared well for the initial screening and had a very positive discussion with the recruiter. I followed up immediately with my CV and have heard nothing since - this was in late June. It's unacceptable that talent at any level is ghosted by in-house recruiters when they've demonstrated commitment to the interview process. It's terrible for employer branding, too - while this may not have been the right role for me, I've been completely turned off the company and from applying to other roles in the future. This is a surefire way to alienate strong candidates.
