      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Austin, TX) in Jul 2022

      Interview

Everything went very smooth and can go pretty quick if you feel ready to proceed. Started with a phone screen, then a hackerrank that consisted of 13 MC questions and 3 coding questions, after that I had three rounds of interviews back to back consisting of non tech conversation, a presentation presented by me and finally pair boarding. After a few days I heard back from the recruiter and was given a job offer.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

The non tech was all card based questions that had to do with society, how tech affects the world and working on a team.

      Question 2

Presentation was about a time I worked on a team to achieve a common goal.

      Entry Level Software Developer Interview

      Declined offer

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2018

      Interview

The process is quite long and different than most coding interviews I had. From the start to the offer it was about two months. However, what really felt long and time consuming were the coding challenge, the questionnaire and the interviews on site themselves (about 90 minutes). This is the interview process for new grads 2019: 1. Apply online (through referral in my case ) 2. Webinar: One hour long where they explain the basis of the work at Thoughtworks but also make sure you understand the 100% travel requirements. 3. Questionaire: very abstract questions. Some I think targeted to see if you understand how a lot of travelling might affect you. Lastly they ask about to give feedback about the survey. This is just testing your ability to give constructive criticism. You should be able to do that in any consulting setting. 4. Coding Challenge: quite long and detailed focus. Make sure you do unite tests and that you really think about the structure. It is not just an algorithm, it is a whole design challenge. 5. One hour Interview with recruiter: Questions about your resume, Thoughtworks(really know what the pillars are and how they matter for you) and lastly feedback on your coding assignment. WRITE THAT DOWN. It comes back on site. 6. On site: 3 interviews and a logic challenge. One is technical about data structures and how you think about algorithms plus OOP questions, other is culture fit and the last one is pair programming with your coding challenge and remember the feedback ( chill, ask a lot of questions and be nice to work with. Remember you are also 'interviewing' them. You are in the final stage. They want you) Also on the on site they will give you a logic quiz at the very end when you are tired. I was pretty done by then so I didn't perform that well and still got an offer. 7. 4 days after or so they will say call you to extend or not an offer. 8. A week after or so they will send offer (you can negotiate placement. I was firm about what I wanted and they still extended an offer there. )

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Why Thoughtworks? A lot of questions about my background and my leadership skills.
      Answer question

      Question 2

OOP questions. What is polymorphism? Data structures: what is a linked list? (I don't remember exactly but along this lines. The basic requirements for a software developer in Java.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Thoughtworks

      Interview

I applied through linkedIn. Process took very long. Initial phone interview (mostly about them and you), was given the questionnaire, and 3 coding questions. Aftewards they gave me a second phone call and that was as far as I got. I thought the questions they gave me were pretty weird.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What does social justice mean to you? Why do you think there aren't any girls in the computer industry and how would you address that problem?
