I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thinking Forks Consulting (Bengaluru) in Sept 2024
Interview
I engaged in what turned out to be an overly protracted hiring process that left me feeling misled and deeply disappointed. After passing through multiple rounds of interviews, completing a time-intensive assignment, and traveling in person to meet the leadership team, I was verbally assured by HR that I should resign from my current job to accommodate their notice-period requirement. Trusting this assurance, I submitted all requested documents, ID proofs, and references, acting in full good faith.
Weeks later, I was informed that the position had been put “on hold.” HR then denied ever making any commitment. This sequence of events seriously undermined my trust. Their lack of accountability and the disregard for how this affected my professional standing and personal planning was unacceptable. I believe companies should respect candidates, clearly communicate changes in hiring status, and follow through on assurances, especially when candidates make concrete life and career choices based on them.
