      Store Manager Interview

      11 Jul 2017
      Anonymous employee
      El Paso, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ThinkGeek (El Paso, TX) in Jul 2017

      Interview

The interview consisted of phone interviews with the District Manager and the Director of Operations. The interview process took 3 weeks. I was interviewing for a new store opening, so a face to face interview wasn't possible. Both interviews provided ample time for me to describe my experience, love of geek culture, and how I would respond to a variety of situations and challenges; as well as asking questions about the company. In their questions, the interviewers were thoughtful, respectful, positive, and reflected more than the typical passing glance at a candidate's resume. I was impressed, intrigued, and excited at the prospect of joining a growing company after completing both interviews, even with the limited amount of information about the company currently available on Glassdoor. My advice? Go for it!
