A pretty standard interview process. I applied for the job and was contacted by the HR recruiter for a screening interview. They asked me to schedule a time that worked for me through their online scheduler, and I did, but then they rescheduled it for 30 min earlier, so what was the point of me scheduling?
Anyway, I hopped onto the call and the interviewer was generally disinterested in my responses, which not only flustered me, but really just turned me off to the company in general. They also didn't have answers to my questions, which were kind of standard questions I've asked several recruiters at other companies. For example, they asked me about my salary preferences, and when I countered with my range and rationale and asked if that was close to their budget, they weren't even aware of the budget and didn't really explain why not. I've been in a lot of interviews lately, and the salary budget is always discussed in the first call.
The point is, it was a mutual bad fit, and the interview experience was poor, even if the interview itself wasn't all that difficult.
