Interview
I met with the day camp coordinator. She was nice and easy to talk to, but it was clear that she was in a bind to hire counselors quickly. This made for a quick, easy interview - I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and I got a call the day after. The interviewer answered my questions well, but I'm not sure they lived up to the actual experience.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (New York, NY) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview was virtual, making it easier for me as a college student, as I was not in the same area as where the job was located. It was either on Zoom or Google Meet.

Question 1
How would you handle two campers getting into an argument?
Simple, straightforward. Looking to hire anyone eager to work. Professionalism will set you apart but expectations are already low so there is no need to go crazy. Typical part time day camp process.

Interview
