I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Phila, PA) in Apr 2014
Interview
Preference is given to internal candidates. This involved two interviews - one with the director of the department and the other with the Executive director. The interview process is more intense when it is an outside candidate since they are unfamiliar with the culture of the Y. The interviews took about 30 minutes each. After a few days, an offer was presented for the position.

What is your 5 year plan?
What would you change within the department?
It was fast and easy! They talked about the roles and what they expect of you right away so you know whether you can handle it or not! The process was very fast as well as they got through processing everything immediately.
it was tough process, phone interview then in person interview.
do lots of research and prep for the interview
relax as much as you can and dont be stressed because they will notice
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Rockford, IL)
Interview
Simple interview process. Professional but polite. Not overwhelming. One to two interviews with executive and C-level staff. Dress expected for the interview is casual formal; there is no reason to have a powersuit unless perhaps interviewing for C-level position. Heavy emphasis on fitting into the Y culture (much more important than interview wardrobe.)
