Very casual, my interviewer kept things focused on my ability to work with children, public speaking, and working on a team. If you have any experience with working with kids, be sure to have some stories of how you have dealt with incidents relating to behavior.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Calgary, AB) in Jul 2016
Interview
Pretty easygoing, there were a couple questions that tripped me up but I went through all the Glassdoor reviews beforehand and they reused a few of those questions. She asked me about my comfort levels regarding caneoing, hiking, general tipi life and the culture of the camp, and being around horses. (I've been a long time camper there so I was comfortable with all of it) She told me as long as my references go through well and I recertify for first aid and get a police information check I will get hired on!
