      Application

      I interviewed at The Syndicate

      Interview

I applied to work with The syndicate by reaching out to one of the hiring managers. In November of 2018. I was told by Lindsay to complete an application and a few days later she sent me an email saying that she was interested in interviewing me and to sign up on the link she sent. The sign up sheet was based on eastern time. Which wasn’t communicated to me until the day of the first interview via email a few hours before the interview. So I signed up and also confirmed my interview for 10:30 am. Well 10:30 am comes along and I don’t get a phone call. So at 10:34 I received an email saying I missed my phone interview but she would still like to speak with me and I have to reply soon as she will dismiss my application. At 10:36 am (6 mins into the current interview time) I emailed her saying I’m sorry I was right by my phone and it never rang. Considering that my email response was instant I thought maybe she’ll call me or we can reschedule. Well she said we can reschedule for the next day. So I rescheduled at 10am the next day. Well at 9:15 am 45 mins before the interview the person that was going to interview me emailed me and said thank you for applying we have decided to interview other people instead. I don’t feel there was any integrity and ownership in this process. l simply because things were scheduled I followed protocol just to already have a decision made without even an interview. I would of understood more if she emailed me saying I missed my interview thank you for replying but we are going to move on. However to go back and forth through email during my interview time to reschedule and I do reschedule just to get an email 45 mins before my interview saying they are moving on I don’t feel is the best productivity time being spent for The Syndicate or myself. Especially since im most likely I’m not the only one this has happened to. So it seems there’s a lot of Lost productivity on the Syndicate’s side and also the potential applicants side. Which we know on the back end that does effect clients needs long term as that means there’s a lot of exceptional talent applying to meet all of the clients needs but there’s most likely other people that was hired that doesn’t necessarily meet the clients full needs. Of course it’s up to every company on who they take on and don’t take on their team. There’s also a level of courtesy and protocol that Both parties have to engage in that’s professional in order to have the interviews process smoothly streamlined throughout the Organization. Sadly this did not happen from my experience. From a perspective job seeker I can see that this company for sure has a lot of problems. The higher ups may not be aware of the problems itself and think everything is ok as the problems are happening and they don’t know where it’s coming from. The lack of communication within this company for sure needs to improve. Because if this is happening just for the interview process. Then that tells me there’s tons of chaos on the job site itself which effects a positive experience for the client. In the future I hope The syndicate changes their operational procedures. So they can meet the needs of not only themselves but their clients they take on as well. Because this company is branded as a boutique agency. But there is nothing boutique about this agency as the chaos mismanagement and lack of communication reflects that. As anything branded as a boutique service is always held at a higher standard
